22/23 Wimbledon Vibes
After a crucial away win against Carlisle last weekend, it was important to back that game up with a win the following weekend. This week the Dons faced 17th place Barrow who really had nothing and still have nothing to play for. The Dons make 2 changes with James Tilley back in favour over James Furlong and Marcus Browne in for Omar Bugiel who is out representing Lebanon. The first half was Wimbledon dominating the ball but ultimately didn’t do enough to get near the Barrow net with Steven’s coming the closest with a tap in just passing the tip of his boot. The second half however had all the action a neutral would want. The Dons open the scoring through Marcus Browne as he superbly finished into the far post to put the Wimbledon 1-0 up. As the 85th minute rolled by, Josh Neufville does excellently to beat his man and cross the ball into Matty Steven’s who ends his 7 game goal drought to put the Dons 2-0.
